Cleancorp demonstrated a commitment to both environmental sustainability and to giving back to the community through its various sponsorships. Cleancorp director Yolande Ellis established the company seven years ago and since then it has grown to 471 customers and 71 franchisees. The company's solid trading result over this time at both the revenue and operating profit level is testament to its financial success. Ellis says she has recognised the growing trend of increasing New Zealand's 'clean, green' image is something that more and more businesses are catching on to. Cleancorp uses eco-friendly products and offers a paper-recycling scheme to customers. Says Ellis: "The award is great recognition for something we are passionate about as a company.
